I'm imagining either a domestic/comedy spin on The Thing, or Spy x Family except the family is trapped in a snowy cabin.
But my guess is, SatAM would hate this for being too limited.
Both series feature characters who are hiding something, so there's too much overlap. Do you want to put a loveable family in the same scenario as The Thing? Or do you want to have The Thing, except the core cast is hiding multiple things?

Thats the basic premise but it pulls from a bunch of other medias in more minor ways, like Steven Universe and the Magical Girl genre, plus a bunch of stuff from my own imagination.
I'm not going to submit it to Saturday AM since its a very dear story of mine I've been thinking on for at least 2-3 years, specially considering the recent situation of SAM. But I thought it shared the "Batman meets Yugioh" template in a way so I decided to coment about it lol

The daughter is hiding a puppy.
Your pitch describes your premise perfectly.
But I still want to offer alternatives to conform to SatAM standards.
I think a stronger pitch would be "The Thing meets Full House" or "Spy x Family meets E.T."
